Google.Org awarded funding to OCF, an organisation of machine learning experts who use computers to fix climate change. They wanted to spread the news in the tech world, AND NEEDED OUR HELP.
APPROACH
We knew that Dr Jack Kelly’s background at Google DeepMind was likely to be a draw.
We established who would be interested in the story from our existing network and how to hook in other target journalists.
RESULTS
1,500 WORD ARTICLE IN WIRED, FEATURING IN BOTH UK & US ONLINE EDITIONS
The article quoted Jack at length, explained what Open Climate Fix was trying to achieve and referenced the Google.Org funding.
The Bloomberg Terminal ran a story on the funding, as did Edie.net, Sustainable Future, CNBC, Solar Power Portal and PV Tech.
We also set up interviews for Jack with Business Insider and the BBC
